From Interstate 5 North or South, exit at Cannon Road and head east. Follow the signs to LEGOLAND®.

The parking lot at LEGOLAND® opens at 6:30 a.m. Parking fees are waived for event participants arriving before 8:30 a.m. After 8:30 a.m., the standard parking fees for LEGOLAND® will apply.

You will need the assigned bib number of anyone you are picking up for. You can look it up on-site, or to save time on event morning, look it up ahead of time here. Type the registrant’s first and last name into the search bar to populate bib numbers.

The race will start with a loop in the lower parking lot, before heading up the Tyke Hyke and into LEGOLAND® for a counter-clockwise loop of the park, then finish back outside the park. After crossing the finish line, racers are directed through finish line chutes, where they receive their medal before returning to the event footprint.

Some of the course is shared with both inbound and outbound participants. Please stay to the right and follow the instructions of race personnel. 

For the safety of all participants, anyone who participates in the race must register and receive a bib number or companion bib, which must be worn and visible during the race. 

Parts of the course are narrow, so a wave start will be used. The race will start at 7:45 a.m., and racers will be sent off in groups through a series of wave starts. We ask that walkers, groups, families, and anyone pushing a stroller or wheelchair stage toward the back of the start line to allow runners to start in the first waves.

Please note: No late starters are allowed. Be sure you’re at the event and ready to race by 7:45 a.m. Everyone MUST be off the race course and out of the park by 8:45 a.m.

The Kids Run Carlsbad Series presented by Hollanida Dairy is a two-race series that kicks off with this event and concludes in April with Junior Carlsbad, part of the iconic Carlsbad 5000. Participants will earn the medals awarded at each event PLUS a commemorative Kids Run Carlsbad Presented by Hollandia Dairy series medal. FinisherPix will be on-site taking photos. Photo packages can be pre-ordered before the event here through Friday, January 16, at 4 PM. Photos will also be available for viewing and ordering online through the event website here after the event. Though every effort will be made, we cannot guarantee that every participant will be photographed.

Hot Bevs Coffee & Tea Co. and Puras Papas Food Truck will be on-site before and after the event.

This event is just for fun. It is not officially timed, awards are not presented and results will not be posted.

Please leave all pets at home. Dogs (except service dogs) are not allowed at LEGOLAND or SEA LIFE Aquarium.

No roller skates, inline skates, scooters, skateboards, bikes or other such devices are allowed.
