Everything you Need To Know: 2025 Teal Steps Walk

The 10th Annual Teal Steps Walk is almost here! We can’t wait to see all of your smiling faces and to support this important cause. On Sunday, September 7, 2025, join us at Tidelands Park in Coronado for a morning filled with hope, laughter, community, and teal spirit.

This is your chance to walk alongside survivors, honor loved ones, and support the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of San Diego. Bring your friends, family, and even your four-legged companions—it’s a day meant for everyone!

Why We Walk

The Teal Steps Walk raises funds for the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of San Diego, fueling education and outreach about ovarian cancer, the most lethal gynecologic cancer. Currently, there’s no screening test for early detection, which is why awareness is crucial. The five-year survival rate is just 45%, but when detected early, it soars to over 90%. By walking together, we’re making an impact that could save lives.

Every dollar raised supports community outreach programs, such as HEAR (Hope, Education, Awareness, Resources), and provides funding for UCSD Medical Fellows specializing in gynecological oncology. Together, we’re helping raise awareness, support research, and spread life-saving education.

Event Day Schedule

7:00 AM – Registration/bib pickup opens

7:00 AM – The Rush Coffee is on-site, selling coffee and pastries

7:15 AM – Team photos (under the walk start/finish banner)

7:40 AM – Survivor photo (under the walk start/finish banner)

7:45 AM – Opening ceremony

8:00 AM – Walk starts

9:10 AM – Post-event raffle

The course takes you along the beautiful Coronado waterfront—perfect for soaking in the views, making memories, and snapping plenty of teal-filled photos. Check out the course map here!

What’s Included

Every registration comes with an official event T-shirt, a raffle ticket, and snacks to keep you fueled and smiling.

Parking

Limited parking is available in the Tidelands Park parking lot and on Mullinex Drive on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional parking can be found on the adjacent streets outside of Tidelands Park. Arrive early to ensure you have time to find a parking spot and make it to the walk and opening ceremony on time!

Post-Walk Raffle

Stick around after the walk for the raffle! Every walker gets one complimentary ticket, and extra tickets will be available for purchase ($1 each or an arm’s length for $10). Winners will be announced at 9:10 AM on the main stage—you must be present to win. Check out this year’s awesome prizes here!

Virtual Walk Option

Not local to San Diego or out of town for the walk? No problem! You can still join in by registering as a virtual participant. Your event swag will be mailed to you by the end of September so you can show your teal spirit from anywhere.
