Road Closures
Tips for Travel
On race day, please follow the direction of San Diego Police Special Event Traffic Controllers in the following communities: Port of San Diego, Liberty Station, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Mission Hills, Hillcrest, Park West/Bankers Hill, Uptown, & Gaslamp Quarter. You may encounter traffic delays in these areas between the hours of 6 am – 12 pm. The impacted roads will have a rolling reopening, meaning sections of the course will be reopened to normal traffic as the last participants pass through and the San Diego Police Department deems it safe to reopen to normal traffic.
Race Day Schedule
The races take place on Sunday, March 24, 2024. Please reference the course map and schedule below for any potential road closures in your area. Times are approximate. Please email us if you need any additional information.
- 4:00 AM – Lane closures begin
- 6:30 AM – 5K Starts at 5th Ave & Harbor Dr
- 6:50 AM – Half Marathon starts at 5th Ave & Harbor Dr
- 11:00 AM – Completion of all races and lanes re-open
