2023 AFC Post-Event FAQ

Unfortunately, rescheduling is not an option due to the complexities of putting on an event of this scope and size in San Diego. The 2023 event has moved to virtual. 

No, all participants have been moved to virtual and given the option to join us in some capacity at a 2024 event. Please see the wrap-up email that was sent to you for more information.

• If you were virtual or switched to virtual at the Expo you should have received your bib, shirt, and medal(s) and are all set. We will not be mailing you anything. 
• If you picked up your bib and shirt at the Expo, but weren’t virtual, we will mail your medal(s) to you. 
• If you did not pick up anything at the Expo, including those that were virtual, we will mail your shirt and medal(s) to you.

Absolutely! If you were eligible, your SoCal Triple Crown medal will be mailed to you. 

Yes! Please read the instructions below that apply to you:

If you were already a virtual participant before the Expo – To submit results go to the results page here, select your virtual event from the Select Race drop down, then click on the Submit a virtual result button. You will need your virtual race confirmation number which was emailed to you on Saturday, August 19.

If you became a virtual participant at or after the Expo – You will need your virtual race confirmation number, which will be emailed to you later this week or early next week. Then, to submit results go to the results page here, select your virtual event from the Select Race drop down, then click on the Submit a virtual result button.

No, but if you’d like to upload your results online, the deadline is December 1, 2023.

No, you get to complete the race distance you signed up for on your own time at the location of your choice!

All 2023 AFC deferrals have been canceled. The plan and options sent to you in the wrap-up email apply to all 2023 AFC Half Marathon and 5K participants.

Yes, you will be refunded for those specific items since they do not apply to a virtual entry. You will receive a cancellation email from Events.com for these items and a credit will post to the payment you used during registration within the next 7-10 business days.
