Here are seven things to get you ready for the Strawberry Run!
1. Start and Finish Line Location
NEW! This year’s starting and ending points are just adjacent to the Vista Strawberry Festival on the Vista Magnet Middle School track. This new location provides an easy-to-find meeting place for participants and spectators before and after the race. Check out the course maps HERE!
2. New Route
There are new race routes for the 2023 Strawberry Run 5K and Kids Races! Check out the course maps HERE!
3. Parking and Shuttle Info
Strawberry Run participants can park in nearby public lots off Civic Center or take the courtesy shuttle from the Vista County Courthouse. More details about parking and shuttles are available HERE.
4. Packet Pickup Event
To save time on race day, runners can pick up their packets in advance on Saturday, May 27, 2023, from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Vista Chamber of Commerce/Film Hub parking lot. Come say hi and grab your bib and t-shirt!
5. Kids Races
After the 5K race, the event will feature two kids’ races. A 1/4-mile race at 8:45 AM and a 1-mile race at 8:55 AM. This is an excellent opportunity for kids to get involved in the event, have fun, and earn a cool finisher medal. Register your kiddos!
6. Finisher Goodies
As always, participants of the Strawberry Run will receive some impressive goodies, including:
A custom event T-shirt,
Beautiful commemorative medal
Souvenir cinch bag
Fresh strawberries
Full-size Dr. Bronner’s Magic All-One Chocolate Bar
A one-day pass to the invite-only Carlsbad Columbia Sportswear Employee Store.
And a free beer in the Vista Strawberry Festival craft beer garden (21+ only).
Additionally, age group awards will be given to top performers in each race category.
7. Costume Contest:
Dress up with a Strawberry theme and join us after the run at the Tri-City Medical Center Main Stage at 9:30 AM for our Runners’ Costume Contest!
Fun prizes for the Berry best-dressed runners! Even if costumes aren’t your jam, join us to cheer for your favorite solo or team costumes.
