Does your school have a running club or running program?

We work with a number of schools to incorporate the marathon challenge program into their existing running program. The children participating in the marathon challenge run approximately 25.2 miles with their school’s running program then run their final mile to complete the marathon distance (26.2) at the Kids Marathon Mile. On event day, each racer is presented with a finisher’s medal, and schools that participate are provided a secondary marathon challenge medal which they present to the students who completed the challenge.

The Kids Marathon Mile is part of the Carlsbad Marathon weekend of events. It is a 1-mile fun run for kids of all ages and abilities. Before LEGOLAND opens to the public, they’re doors are opened for us to enjoy the sights and sounds of the park. Participants can run, walk, skip or stroll, or even be pushed in a stroller or carried on a back as they wind through the park and back out to the finish line. Each finisher is presented with a shiny finisher’s medal and treated to light refreshments and family- friendly entertainment. The event concludes at 10 AM with the opening of LEGOLAND®.
